Onneto Hiking Tour (Winter)
Renowned for its striking azure, Onneto is a small lake found among the forests, lakes, and volcanoes of Akan-Mashu National Park. The lake is surrounded in vast pristine forests of Japanese spruce, a rare species even in Hokkaido. This slow and steady hike explores the enchanting sights of this primeval forest, including a 300-year-old tree and entire fields of moss and alpine plants. Age group: 12 and above

Bokke (Mud Volcano) Forest Snow Walk
A snow walking tour that lets you casually enjoy the magic of Akan-Mashu National Park, a National Park full of forests and volcanoes. Don snowshoes to experience the magic of the forest in winter as you aim to reach Bokke, a mud volcano where you can feel the life force of the earth. Mountain Peak Snow Trekking
Strap on your snowshoes and embark into the forest toward a silvery snow-covered plateau, where you will find unparalleled views of Penketo and Panketo, two of Akan’s most mystery-shrouded lakes. Not only do these two secluded lakes inspire awe, but so do the wildlife and beautiful mountainscapes that you will encounter. Age group: 12 and above

Akan Laketop Trekking
This snowshoe tour lets you enjoy the many wonders of Lake Akan in winter. In addition to a walk through the forest, walk across the frozen laketop to Kojima Island. Along the way are points that will make you truly feel that you are surrounded by volcanoes. You can also enjoy a boxed lunch on the lake as well as ice fishing for smelt. Age group: 12 and above

Invitation to the Mystical Forest
(Hikari no Mori) PREMIUM TOURThis premium forest walk is only allowed in the company of a certified guide. Come appreciate the forest conservation efforts of the Maeda Ippoen Foundation as you enjoy the wonders of the forest and its plants and animals. Nordic Walk
Nordic walking is said to be 1.5 times more efficient a workout than regular walking. Take two poles in hand for a trek through nature at Lake Akan.An instructor will guide you through the Bokke mud volcano or a ski slope. Age group: 7 and above

Early Morning Drive & Walk
Come and enjoy an easy early morning drive and walk in the phytoncide-filled forests and mountains of Lake Akan! With luck, you might catch a glimpse of Lake Akan's "sea of clouds," or a panoramic view of Mount Oakan and Lake Akan! Age group: 7 and above

Mount Meakan Trekking (Nonaka Onsen Course)
This is the most popular hiking course. This course is steep, but it is the shortest. Alpine plants such as Arenaria merckioides and Potentilla miyabei can be seen along the way. An experienced mountain guide will accompany you.

Mount Meakan Trekking (Lake Akan Lakeside – Akan-Fuji – Lake Onneto)
An expert course traversing the mountain ridge. The gentle incline lets you take in the scenery of the volcano. The summit offers views of Lake Akan and Mount Oakan. Depending on the season, you may encounter alpine plants such as the mountain harebell or Potentilla miyabei. An experienced mountain guide will accompany you.

An "e-bike" is an electrically power assisted bicycle for sports use, featuring powerful assistance that sets it apart from ordinary electrically power assisted bicycles. Once you ride an E-BIKE, you will change your perception of bicycles. Ages 15 and up Rental course is for one day (7 hours)

A road bike is a very lightweight bicycle for traveling long distances on paved roads "easy and fast". The Specialized Allez Elite is equipped with the latest Shimano R7000 series 105 for competition-ready riding. Ages 15 and up Rental course is for one day (7 hours)

Rent‐a‐bicycle / Fat Bike ～SURLY・Ice Cream Truck～
Fat bikes are bicycles equipped with extra-thick tires, which give them excellent stability and allow them to be ridden on any road, including paved roads, mountain roads, and snow-covered roads. The SURLY Ice Cream Truck is the pinnacle of SURLY's lineup, and is a great fat bike that continues to attract many fat bikers. Ages 15 and up Rental course is for one day (7 hours)

I was impressed by the encounter with several types of fish, such as kokanee salmon native to Lake Akan. The journey time is about 7 hours.
